Great food served by the community members. I got late lunch here with a friend and the portions are quite large and tasty. But I recommend to go earlier in the day, as some of the pastries that I had been hoping to get were sold out by the time I got there on Sunday afternoon.

It was my first time visiting this festival .
Very hard to find a parking and the entrance fee is $5 which is fine .
My first stop was for getting an Armenian coffee.
They had made it in huge pots , had left it on stove .
If you are Turkish or Armenian coffee drinker you know that you can't make coffee and leave it on fire. It loose it's quality and taste .
Oh well . It was not good at all .
I got very disappointed.
My next stop was to buy dinner buffet.
You will see in one of my photos what I purchased.
I got more disappointed with the quality of the food ,
Iman bayildi was so cold ( not warm - cold) and Sarma was like they got it out of the freezer right now . Seriously?!!!!!
And I couldn't eat the rest of my food.
I was in the line for 20 minutes to spend $20 for cold food and not a good quality.
I love Armenian people and always I am impressed by their hospitality and culture. They are so sweet and welcoming. Always They great you with smile.
Hopefully next time they offer some better food .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 -

I had a great time at the festival. The food portions were generous and the prices were very fair. So great to see the Armenian community has kept this going for 65 years now.
I got a high quality scarf with the Armenian coat of arms. There is tons of interesting stuff they sell. Live music and games too.
Good people.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 -

Awesome festival! The homemade style food was excellent and reminded me of my medzmama's cooking. Lots of booths too with Armenian products.

The food is absolutely delicious! Prepared by Armenian grandmas, each dish is fresh and cooked using authentic Armenian recipes. They offer a variety of dishes including chicken and lulekebab, rice, kufte, green beans, sarma, eggplant, subureg, spinach and cheese bouregs and many more mouthwatering goodies. There are 3 separate dessert tables serving various sweets that pair well with Armenian coffee and hot tea.
Food is also offered outside in the booths. Hot sandwiches and wraps with chicken, lulekebab, sujukh and falafel. They serve beer and wine as well.
In addition to the amazing food, this festival provides live music and entertainment. There is a kid friendly area with jumping houses, rock climbing and other fun activities. Children of different ages perform traditional Armenian dances. There are also many venders selling jewelry, handmade silverware and organic fruits.
This festival is held every year in September! Must try. Best food festival in Bay Area!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 -

I don't know how many years this has been going on but could be way better organized. We did not pay admission. It was free.
Ran out of Stella beer second day. How is that possible?
The lines were crazy long. Figure out a way to move people faster. It isn't hard. Copy other festivals that make it work. We did not want to wait in an hour long line to get a tiny $18 plate of food
Sell a glass mug for the beer. Make a few bucks
Have some entertainment. We were there two hours and nothing to do or see. Only a few tables selling crafts or jewelry. Mostly it's food and the tables to dine take up 90 percent of venue.
We bought some pastries to go (the pastries inside were much better than the ones the lady was selling under the tent), a meat sandwich wrapped in lavash (make sure he doesn't sell you very burnt ones), and some Armenian coffee served in tiny ceramic cups you borrow.
We took bart to Daly City and then hopped on the 57. Walked right in to festival, no worries about parking. Then afterwards, we walked to Park Merced and SFSU and got on the MHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 -

It's going down!!
This festival happens once a year. It's a unique and inviting experience for all ages. Each day's atmosphere is different. Friday is the launch, Saturday is full swing and Sunday is the day romp.
Went last night with friends (Saturday). We knew parking would be horrendous so we ubered it. More people should.
Admission is $5. If you want to come for a quick look, purchase some goodies and have a snack, $5 may seem like a lot. But I'm happy to support my local community.
The scene last night was crackin. Live music and dancers. The costumes were magnificent. At least twenty-five stands with an array of offerings. One beer and wine stand. One sandwich stand with the BEST meats. Ahhhhhhh sooo good!!
We did the "buffet" last night. $17. It's not all you can eat - just one pass thru. I can honestly say everyone working this festival is HELLA nice. Everyone works hard and has fun while doing it. The line for the buffet is enormous. Around fourty-five minutes to get to the good stuff. The meats in the buffet were hot, fresh and coming directly from the BBQs. The buffet came with fresh bread, salad, rice and kebobs of your choice. I always do the lulay. It's well seasoned beef. So good. We also sampled the extra items like kofte balls, hummus, dolmas and other delicious delicacies I don't know how to spell. Everything was truly outstanding.
If the buffet line and price seem hefty just get the sandwich. The sandwiches are terrific. $6-7. They're wrapped up so you could take them to go.
My husband compiled a dessert sampler the four of us shared. The desserts along with the strong coffee and live music was the perfect way to end our evening. Some of the best Armenian treats I've ever tasted.
There's lots of trinkets, jewelry, collectables and produce stands. There's also a separate kids area with food and games. Truly, something for everyone.
Good vibes and big smiles all around! Love this festival!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 -

It's $5 admission. There were not many vendors. Food were quite good with reasonable prices. I got a $3 apricot jam cake and $3 apple delight. The jam cake was a bit sweet. The apple delight was pretty good. If they don't charge $5 admission, I may go back every day to get some more food.

First thing I gotta say...SOUJOUK is off the hook!!! Where have you been all my life? WHERE?!?!?
Entry fee was $5 per person and it was our first time. There's a main hall where they serve hot food and it's big enough to fit a whole lot of people.
For $13, you get rice with 2 kebab sticks (choices were chicken and lamb), simple salad and piece of bread. We only wanted one kebab stick so they charged us $8. There's plenty of other food to choose from and each of those cost extra (approximately $2 per item).
The rice was good but the lamb kebab, though tasty, was dry. I have no idea what they're called but these meatball looking things were so delicious!! As was the sausage looking meat. And the savoury filo pastry items were nummy!! Not to mention the baklava! There were also a lot of vegetarian dishes available. We enjoyed the food so much, we bought some to take home!
Oh and I can't forget about the Soujouk! This is Armenian sausage and it was sliced (looks like salami) and served in a grilled sandwich with tomatoes, pickles and some sauce. If I wasn't so full, I would've eaten two of them. AMAZING!!!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 -

We went on the last day so I imagine it wasn't as lively as the days before... but I say that because it was such a great atmosphere to be in with the kids running around and the music playing in the background.
My fiance and I came to check it out and there were lots of stalls around with items for sale. My favourite thing was the Armenian coffee which was delicious. After that we headed over to the food line. Sure it was quite a wait but the food was delicious. We had the chicken, beef, and kutfa kabob along with the kufta ball. Then to go we grabbed a container of hummus, ma'amoul and a piece of baklava. Everything was so tasty and the atmosphere was great. I can't wait to go back next year and hopefully we'll go earlier to grab some dolmas too!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
